Due Diligence in Executive Search - Background and Reference Checking

This Online Course will explain what reference and background checking involve and why these checks are critical to your search. You will be prepared to decide with your client the appropriate level of diligence on a particular search and you will learn how to prepare for and take references that will validate what you know and give you a more complete picture of your candidate.

Our Expert Trainer

Peter M. Felix is President of the Association of Executive Search Consultants. During his career in executive search, Mr. Felix specialized in cross-border searches in a range of functions and industries. He served as a partner in search firms based in London (Whitehead Mann), New York (Hanover Partners), and Hong Kong (TASA). Immediately prior to joining the AESC, he was Founder and President of Felix International, an executive search firm based in Hong Kong. Mr. Felix also played a major role in the creation of the British-American Business Council and the European-American Chamber of Commerce. He spent much of his early career in Europe, serving as Vice President of Human Resources for the Bendix Corporation’s European operations in Paris, and as Manager of Marketing Practices for IBM in the United Kingdom. Born and educated in the United Kingdom, Mr. Felix received his BA in Social Studies and Law from Exeter University and MBA from INSEAD.
